In a virtual event held on Thursday, Huawei presented the Huawei Watch GT 2e, its new smartwatch positioned as an alternative to the Watch GT 2 with more affordable price and with a design created to attract sports fans. Information and images of the Chinese company's new smart watch had already leaked on a German website this week.

The Huawei Watch GT 2e comes with the LiteOS system, 455mAh battery with a battery life of up to 14 days, 1.39 AMOLED touch screen with 424 x 424 resolution, Kirin A1 processor, 4GB of storage capacity (enough for 500 songs in the MP3 format) and weighs about 43 grams without the bracelet. Its body is made of metal and plastic with Black Stainless Steel and Stainless Steel finish.
The watch includes support for GPS, compatible with Android (4.4 or later) and iOS (9.0 or later) systems and has Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. Other features offered by it include accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, optical heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor, air pressure sensor and water resistance of up to 5ATM (50m depth).
The new Huawei Watch GT 2e includes support for different types of physical exercises, such as swimming, cycling, climbing, walking and others. It will be available in Europe from April with a suggested retail price of 199 and in Graphite Black, Lava Red, Mint Green and Icy White. More information about it can be found on here.
In addition to announcing the new Watch GT 2e, Huawei also announced a new color option for the 42mm Watch GT2, Champagne Gold. This version will be available for 229 with the Frosty White bracelet and for 249 with the Chestnut Red bracelet.
