Rumor: Apple will adopt multi-core graphics in its 2011 gadgets [atualizado]

We already talked about references found in iOS 4.3 and what sources from Engadget added about renovations in the line iGadgets 2011, but now the informants of the AppleInsider that will reveal secrets of Apple's hardware updates.

Apple A4 Chip

The SGX535 graphics, used since the iPhone 3GS, should be replaced by the SGX543 architecture, about twice as powerful, but we already know that. The novelty is that the processing will be performed by two cores of this type, which would guarantee a graphic performance four times higher than the current one and could still be destined to general computing activities, thanks to compatibility with OpenCL. Given that today Apple uses the same system on a chip on iPads, iPhones, iPods touch and Apple TVs, we can expect great advances in all these gadgets during 2011.

Adding this information that the processor has an ARM Cortex-A9 structure, also with multiple cores, we can expect brutal performance gains. However, Apple is likely to limit total hardware performance to optimize power consumption, so it may be too early to start imagining an iPhone running Crysis.
