It's over, Apple, your days are numbered: the iPad 2 and iOS will definitely be crushed by the ViewPad, which brings in one, but two operational systems. To consume content, you can use Android 1.6 (the one for smartphones); to work seriously, you can have it checked with Windows 7 (the one on the PCs). Who needs optimized interfaces, when you can have the worst of both worlds?
And, as if that weren't enough, the ViewPad's official disclosure image clearly shows how 2011 will not be the year of the iPad 2, but of the ViewSonic tablet. See, that's unbelievable:
They tried to hide it, but you can clearly see that the ViewPad runs Mac OS X.
All this in a machine with a 10-inch multi-touch screen illuminated with LEDs, 1024 × 600 pixels in resolution (more pixels!), Intel Atom processor of 1.66GHz (more gigahertz!), 2GB of RAM (more gigabytes!), Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and a 1.3 megapixel front camera (plus megapixels!).
All this for how much? For just $ 600 with 16GB and Windows 7 Home Premium or $ 680 for 32GB and Windows 7 Professional. As soon as they disclose how to stick Mac OS X in this product magical and revolutionary, the end of the iPad 2 be decreed. Who needs Smart Covers, when something like this hits the market?
P.S .: No joke. The ViewPad was even launched and even has an official video.
