Not everyone has the Excel application on their cell phones. Therefore, when sharing a spreadsheet, the PDF format can facilitate viewing the file, in addition to preventing the recipient from editing the data.
To use this function, Excel will communicate with Microsoft servers, therefore, the smartphone must be connected to the internet. With the network activated, just open the desired spreadsheet, touch the "Share" "Share as attachment" "PDF" button. Then choose the sharing medium.

To use the keyboard, tap the typing box and select the keyboard icon with the numbers "123" at the bottom of the screen. Finally, if you want to restore your phone's standard keyboard, just tap the same icon again.

A very useful function is smart search. With it, the user can search for texts or spreadsheet terms on the internet. When selecting smart search, the results are offered in Excel itself, without opening another application.
If you want to search for any term in your spreadsheets on the Internet, press the cell that contains the text. After releasing it, a bar will be displayed with the buttons "Cut", "Copy" and the smart search icon, identified by a magnifying glass.

As with the PC versions, the Excel application for mobile devices also has graphics, images, links, shapes and other elements. If you want to insert a photo, for example, the user can still choose whether to open the photo gallery or the camera.
At any time, you can add new elements to your spreadsheet. To do this, touch the edit button at the top of the screen. Then, select "Home" "Insert" and finish by choosing the type of content you want.

To ensure that spreadsheets created with different versions of Excel (including PC versions) always work in the application, Excel's mobile edition has an online converter. When activating the function, all spreadsheets incompatible with the app are converted on Microsoft servers, allowing the user to view and edit most documents.
To activate the feature, tap the "Accounts" button, go to "Settings" and activate the "Use Microsoft Online Service" option. However, if the smartphone is not connected to the internet when opening the files, the online conversion does not work correctly.
