With the Game Developers Conference suspended, due to the coronavirus pandemic, Steam comes forward to give a small showcase to small breeders. As part of the Steam Game Festival, the company will provide demos for more than 40 independent games, free of charge, so that players can have contact with this segment of the market.
The first edition of the festival took place in December last year. At the time, the initiative highlighted 12 indie games.
The event was announced this Tuesday, by Geoff Keighley, executive producer of The Game Awards. Keighley says this is a way to compensate all creators who missed the opportunity to showcase their games at the Game Developers Conference.
The Steam Game Festival will take place between the 18th and 23rd of March.
