In recent times there has been a lot of talk about the arrival of new MacBooks Air, but white (polycarbonate) MacBooks are also deserving of an upgrade if they will continue to exist. The line was last updated more than a year ago.
According to AppleInsider, an unusual phenomenon has started to manifest itself in the last few days, with stocks depleted or super low at several international resellers. Apple recently reduced the price of the machine for academic purchases, but that may indicate that new models are about to come out of the oven.
In Brazil, the white MacBook today costs R $ 3,000 and comes with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, SuperDrive and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card. Would an update to these specs certainly welcome Sandy Bridge, Thunderbolt? I wouldn't be surprised if they were updated with the Airs, on the launch of OS X Lion.
