WhatsApp allows you to edit the verification information in two steps of the application at any time. Users can change the code to not forget the combination, or change the registered email address to recover their password. In addition, it is possible to disable the feature completely and eliminate PIN requests.
The security system is responsible for requesting the unlock periodically and whenever the app is reinstalled to fight intruders. The feature prevents third parties from accessing your messages even if your phone line is compromised. The procedure for modifying the WhatsApp verification system was reproduced on a Galaxy S8 with Android 8 Oreo.
