Apple recalls a small batch of Seagate hard drives that equip recent iMacs

Apple today announced the "iMac 1TB Seagate Hard Drive Replacement Program", a recall program for 1TB Seagate hard drives that recently sold iMacs.

These HDDs are in 21.5 and 27 inch iMacs sold between May of July this year, and to know if your affected just enter the machine's serial number on the page linked above.

The exchange procedure can be done directly at Apple Retail Stores or Apple Authorized Service Providers (AASPs, that is, authorized technical assistance), at no cost to the customer.

The program is valid worldwide until July 23, 2012.
