Rumors tell us that Apple is preparing to launch a more economical iPhone. However, to date, unofficial information circulating online indicates the existence of only one model. Now, the 9to5Mac portal team, which dedicated itself to investigating the iOS 14 code, found references to a second device.
According to the leaks, the tech giant will reveal a 4.7-inch smartphone, but there will be a larger version, 5.5 inches, with Touch ID and an A13 chip. Engadget writes that the equipment will be a renewed edition of the old iPhone 8 Plus.
The introduction of these two pieces of equipment will serve for the brand to renew its offer in medium and high-end segments. Note that the code analyzed by the 9to5Mac team also talks about new iPad Pro, although details are scarce at this point.
Although all these devices are referenced in iOS 14, this does not mean that you have to wait for the software to be released to get to know them – Apple should release the update for its mobile operating system in the fall. However, at a time when the coronavirus pandemic forces technologies to suspend and postpone events, the company is likely to take some time to reveal its new smartphones and tablets.
It is recalled that an analyst had already commented on the possible launch of two new, more economical iPhones in 2020, so this leak thickens the suspicions launched about the hypothesis.
