The development of UVD Robots began in 2014, when a group of Danish hospitals launched a tender for the purchase of a disinfection solution, looking for an effective way to reduce the rates of viruses and bacteria that affect hospital environments. The result came from fruitful collaboration between bacteriologists, virologists and hospital staff and robot creators, designers, engineers, investors and entrepreneurs at Blue Ocean Robotics.
The solution consists of an autonomous robot, equipped with an ultraviolet light system. Thanks to UV light, the robot can disinfect and fight diseases, viruses, bacteria and other types of organic microorganisms harmful to the environment, breaking its DNA structure.
According to Blue Ocean Robotics, these autonomous machines are capable of disinfecting 99.99% of bacteria and viruses and are already present in more than 40 countries, worldwide. You can learn more about UVD Robots on this website.
