In addition to Free app of the week, every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week, whose purchase is for $ 3. The title selected this time was Moonlight: Under the Moonlight, by director Barry Jenkins.
Check out his trailer:
Here's what Apple says about the movie:
The 2017 Oscar winner for "Best Picture" is an intimate journey through the life of a young black homosexual on the outskirts of Miami. Director and screenwriter Barry Jenkins creates a powerful drama that captures its protagonist at three different times (childhood, adolescence and adulthood) and raises complex moral and social issues as rare as long. Highlight for the performance of Mahershala Ali, who won the award for ?Best Supporting Actor?.
As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio (@tripalavra), who is a cardholder, also sent us a personalized comment about the film:
Let us leave aside, for a few minutes, the fact that we are talking about the Oscar winner for "Best Picture". Thus, I make space to highlight the two sides of this film, leaving it open for them to draw their own conclusions and to kindly share mine: 1. ?Moonlight? refers to a somewhat stopped, detailed film that did not please much of the public, thus achieving little box office success including on DVD and streaming; 2. the film highlights the sensitivity in which the script was conceived, the characters developed without mentioning that it has a very tight plot. I consider it a very good film the little known cast was a part show! Winning the Oscar, however, may have been a little overkill
