The last jailbreak known released for iOS appeared at the end of last July, a solution semi-tethered for iOS 9.2-9.3.3 made available by the Chinese from the PanGu group. Then, with the arrival of iOS 10, ZERODIUM announced a $ 1.5 million reward for a jailbreak for him and until then it is not known if they succeeded.
This morning, the well-known hacker Luca Todesco (@qwertyoruiopz) decided to provide a jailbreak preliminary called Yalu in alpha stage, I would say, more unstable / buggy than beta than iOS 10.1 (.1) compatible even with iPhone 7.
In addition to his experimental character, the installation process itself is not so simple / cute, even requiring Cydia Impactor, it is worth noting that it is not compatible with iOS 10.2; Apple has already corrected the exploited breach and, worse, closed the iOS 10.1 and 10.1.1 authentication window in the last days (no more to do downgrade). That is, only those who have not updated even for iOS 10.2 can risk playing with this new jailbreak.
The chances that the jailbreak does not go well and requires a complete restoration of the iGadget they are huge at this stage, so just proceed if you really know what you?re doing. Or, if you have not yet upgraded to iOS 10.2 and want to wait a while until the solution is improved by the hacker community, it is also an option. Just keep in mind that you will be vulnerable to the security fixes that Apple applied when updating its operating system.
