LinkedIn has voice messages directly in the chat of the professional network. The novelty is available in the applications for iPhone (iOS) and Android, as well as on the web in the latter, however, it is only possible to listen to the recordings. According to the company, the purpose of the resource is to streamline conversations and allow users to express themselves better. To prevent abuse, audio is limited to just one minute.
In the following walkthrough, check out how to send voice messages in LinkedIn conversations on your cell phone. The procedure was performed on a Moto E4, with Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The tips also apply to the iPhone version.

Step 1. Open the LinkedIn app and tap on the message icon at the bottom of the screen. Then open the chat with the person who will receive the voice message.

Step 2. Touch the microphone cone. If this is your first time sending an audio message through Linkedin, the app will ask for permission to access your phone's microphone. To authorize, tap "Allow".

Step 3. To record the voice message, just press and hold the microphone button and speak. To send, just release the button and confirm by tapping "Send".

Step 4. If you want to cancel recording the message, just drag your finger off the button until the red trash can icon appears and, finally, take your finger off the screen.
