Apple revealed on Wednesday, 18, an update to the iPad Pro, high-performance version of its tablet. With the news, the iPad was even closer to a notebook – the announcement was made on the company's website.

In terms of hardware, the tablet won the new A12Z Bionic processor and an eight-core graphics processor, which, according to Apple, guarantee superior performance to several Windows notebook models.

Along with the new tablet, Apple revealed two new features that complement the metamorphosis of the tablet: one of them is a new physical keyboard, called Magic Keyboard, which reserves space for a trackpad – the first time that an iPad keyboard has a trackpad. To accompany the accessory, Apple revealed that iPadOS 13.4, the tablet's operating system, supports the trackpad.

The keyboard also has a USB-C port and a price to make you cry: $ 300 for the 11-inch version and $ 350 for the 12.9-inch version.

Triple camera

Another novelty is the tablet camera system. The new iPad was expected to have a triple camera like the iPhone 11. This happened, but the iPad lens set has a stil and important difference from cell phones. The new iPad has a wide angle (12 MP), an ultra-wide angle (10 MP) and a Lidar sensor, which uses laser to measure depth and apply augmented reality features.

The exclusive Lidar sensor of the new iPads and makes sense from the point of view of use: a high performance tablet now has sophisticated augmented reality features, one of Apple's betting areas for the future.

All the news will be present in the two sizes of iPad Pro, 11 and 12.9 inches. In the US, the new iPad Pro 11 costs $ 800 to $ 1,450, while the 12.9 costs between $ 1,000 and $ 1,650 depending on storage space and connectivity or not with mobile networks. Like all Apple devices, the devices do not support 5G network.

In the USA, the devices are already on sale and will begin shipping on March 25. In Brazil, the devices are on pre-sale, but there is still no delivery date. The 11-inch iPad costs between R $ 8,500 and R $ 14,850 and the 12.9-inch iPad costs R $ 10,500 and 16,850.

Now, it has Intel's Ice Lake processors, tenth generation of the manufacturer's chips, which have speeds of up to 1.2 GHz in each of its four cores. Apple claims that the graphics processing is 80% higher than its predecessor. The storage space ranges from 256 GB to 2 TB.

The cheapest is $ 1,000, $ 100 cheaper than the previous generation, and the most expensive is $ 2,250. The price variation is due to different configurations of memory, storage and processor. In Brazil, the cheapest model costs R $ 10,300 – the other prices are not yet available.
