As it does every year, NETGEAR took advantage of this CES to announce a series of new products within its traditional branch of wireless networks.
Let's start with the main one, the Media Storage Router:
As you can see, this router arrives to fight head on with the Time Capsule, offering 2TB of internal storage with integrated backup, streaming two USB 3.0 ports, 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels (dual-band simultaneous), and high performance up to 900Mbps. Its price has not yet been released.
Other new features include the Universal Dual Band WiFi Range Extender, 4-port WiFi Adapter ($ 90), which extends Wi-Fi coverage dual-band; the N900 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter, an adapter that makes desktops and laptops compatible with Wi-Fi networks dual-band; among others.
NETGEAR also reiterated its commitment to the new 5G standard of Wi-Fi technology, promising to launch IEEE 802.11ac solutions soon.
