What and how does eduK work?

EduK is an online education platform aimed at people who want to learn a new trade, with the aim of undertaking, earning extra money or living financially from this new job. However, nothing prevents people from learning new skills through the tool for personal or hobby use.

To access the course library, the user must pay a subscription. Classes are separated by subject and taught by professionals in the field, being shown in video format and transmitted via streaming.

What courses are offered?

The eduK course library offers classes in gastronomy, beauty, fashion, photography, handicrafts, decoration, business, dentistry and several other topics. The lessons are separated by subjects that can be specific or more general, of basic or more advanced modalities. In the gastronomy tab, for example, it is possible to find separate courses on Christmas cookies, confectionery, Easter eggs or Bahian cuisine. According to eduK, the platform has 2,200 complete courses.

The classes are presented on video, taught by professionals specialized in their area of ??activity, and have a varied duration, following a schedule that the student can view before starting. Some of them are separated by topics, offering mini-classes within a complete course. Students also have access to textbooks that support teaching material.

In addition to the pre-recorded courses, eduK offers live classes from Monday to Friday, on different topics that follow their own schedule. Some of them are available in a free offline replay format, released to all users, serving as a tasting for new users of the site.

Prices and payment methods

EduK has a unique subscription plan, which costs R $ 239.40 and releases all courses on the platform for one year. This means that it is not possible to buy a separate course from the website. The user can pay the amount paid by bank slip, or in installments in up to 12x on the credit card of the main brands, without interest.

If the user cancels the plan within 30 days of signing up, they will receive all the money paid back. After the initial 30 days, a penalty of 25% of the remaining amount will be charged.

EduK subscribers can attend classes as many times as they want, at any time of the day, via streaming via computer and mobile, in the Android and iPhone (iOS) application. In the Google system, it is possible to download the classes to watch them offline. All supporting material, such as handouts, templates and presentations, can also be downloaded for printing.

Students who complete paid eduK courses can receive a digital certificate issued by the Brazilian Association for Distance Education (ABED). To receive the certification, you must have attended at least 80% of the classes and made at least 70% of the final exam. Live, free courses do not provide a certificate.

Other online platforms also offer online courses that issue certificates, with Cursa, which offers classes in crafts, electronics and game development, and Brasil Mais Digital, which offers courses in information technology. The Fundao Bradesco and Senai websites also provide free professional training courses over the Internet, in the areas of administration, education and entrepreneurship.
