In small businesses, the software is a safer alternative for connecting machines on different networks without having to hire a VPN service.
For personal use, the program is important to allow access to a home PC when the user is traveling or at work, facilitating the recovery of important files even without the help of anyone. Remote access also allows you to offer help to friends and family with applications and possible system failures that can be corrected with maintenance via the Internet.

How does TeamViewer work and what tools does it offer?
The main function of TeamViewer is to allow access to the desktop from another computer from a distance. The guest can use his own mouse, keyboard and monitor to operate the host's computer through a connection between the two machines, intermediated by the software. In practice, you can use a PC or smartphone remotely as if you were there.

During a session, TeamViewer allows you to share files of any size at a speed of up to 200 MB / s, depending on the computer and the network. It is also possible to print documents using a printer connected to the remote computer and execute advanced commands, such as turning on, restarting and installing applications on other computers.
The program also supports 4K monitors and functions for collaborative work, such as online meetings, group chats and video calls, in addition to interactive whiteboards. It is still possible to record sessions.
TeamViewer is free for personal use. Among the paid modalities, the Business plan has a price of R $ 79.90 and allows to register up to 200 machines, but entitles to a single user who can access one customer at a time. In the Premium version, it is possible to have several licenses and 300 computers registered for a monthly fee of R $ 159.90. There is also the Corporate plan, which increases the limit to 500 registered devices and supports multiple accounts and competing sessions for R $ 299.90 per month.

On which systems is it possible to download?
TeamViewer offers cross-operation between Windows, macOS and Linux (Ubuntu) computers, in addition to Chrome OS and Raspberry Pi. The TeamViewer app for Android and iPhone (iOS) only allows you to control computers and transfer files. To have the phone operated remotely, I need to install the QuickSupport app separately.
There are several computer versions available. The complete edition brings remote access and collaboration tools, QuickSupport releases access to your PC without having to install anything, and the Host is aimed at those who provide remote support. There is also QuickJoin, which only allows you to participate in virtual meetings, and Portable, which has several functions and does not require installation.
To download on the desktop, just visit the official website (www.teamviewer.com/pt-br/download) and select the corresponding version, according to the need for use. Smartphone users must download from Google Play or App Store.

How to access Windows remotely with TeamViewer?
In the free version, the user who will receive the support must have the full TeamViewer installed or have the portable and QuickSupport versions open. The person responsible for the remote session will need the ID number and personal password that appear on the program screen to establish the connection.
Before providing the information, it is important to select remote access, which allows screen sharing, or file transfer, which only allows sharing documents and other files. Then, just click Connect to start the connection. The ID remains the same for future sessions, but it is possible to change the password.
To access someone else's device, it is possible to use the full TeamViewer on the PC, the Host version, the app to browse or any browser. On the smartphone, it is worth remembering that the functions of receiving or providing remote access are divided between the TeamViewer and QuickSupport apps. The operation, however, is similar on all platforms.
