Apple will pay $ 1.25 million to Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon for a serial episode; new comedy series will have Kristen Wiig in the cast

When Apple launches a product, we hear only shallow rumors at the beginning, with little information; over time, rumors take shape and arrive at what is actually the product, since they almost always end up getting it right.

this is exactly what is happening also with the original video content of the Apple Music, which has become increasingly larger and more diverse.

One of the series that was rumored last year would be a drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. For now, it was revealed how much Apple paid for each of these great actresses.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon

According to Hollywood Reporter, both will receive the trifle of more than $ 1.25 million for each episode of the drama that will focus on the lives of morning newspaper presenters; for now, there are already 20 episodes agreed (10 per season). This high figure includes the percentage due to the fact that the two will also be executive producers in the series.

Witherspoon's high salary has even touched the pockets of HBO, which launched the series "Big Little Lies", starring her, Nicole Kidman and several other stars. In the first season, Witherspoon reportedly received $ 250,000 for an episode, while Kidman received $ 350,000. With the great success of the series that ended up winning an Emmy and a Golden Globe and also for the amount offered by Apple, Witherspoon will receive $ 1 million per episode in the second season.

New comedy series with Kristen Wiig

And it looks like Witherspoon is really engaged in service projects streaming, since Variety confirmed that she will be in another series, but as an executive producer.

This time, the production will be a comedy, created by Colleen McGuinness (series producer "30 Rock") and inspired by the tales present in the work ?You Think iT, I?ll Say It?, by Curtis Sittenfeld. According to the book's description on Amazon, he "raises assumptions about class, relationships and gender roles in a nation that feels drifting and viscerally divided".

The series will have ten 30-minute episodes and star the veteran comedian Kristen Wiig, who was in the "Saturday Night Live" for seven years, in the last film ?Caa-Fantasmas?, among many others. Wiig also participated as an executive producer on the program.

More space for original content

People weren't kidding when they said that Apple is, in fact, investing a lot of money in these original products. Another proof of this is that Ma would have rented a space of 11,890m and four floors, in Culver City (Los Angeles, USA), to serve as an office for his original video content team.

The space would, at first, be rented by HBO, but the company gave up and then Apple took over. Culver City Mayor Thomas Small confirmed the information with Variety, saying, "We were very excited about HBO, but we are more excited about Apple."

I don?t know about you, but I?m really looking forward to seeing all the productions announced so far and especially to see if Ma will continue labeling her service. streaming as ?Apple Music? (since it will no longer be just about music). We can only wait!
