Apple's press release also reveals an annual growth of 58% in paid subscriptions on the App Store, 70% in lifestyle, health and fitness apps, and 90% in the category Photo and video. The categories Games and Entertainment they are, of course, the ones that most earn revenue for developers.
The App Store operates today in 155 countries and has millions of apps divided into 25 different categories.
This could very well be announced / quoted in the opening part of Monday's keynote, however, as the MacStories, the presentation time must be very tight in the face of so many releases, which made Apple release this part of the announcement, a few days before. Good sign.
