Shortly after information about the arrival of Intel's new Ivy Bridge chips, the DigiTimes just now said that Apple is already preparing to actually start producing updated MacBooks Pro.
The article brings two curious information: 1) that the number of orders for 13.3-inch units is much higher than the 15-inch units, but that 2) the 15-inch units will start to be produced in the next month, while the smaller ones only in June.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro is expected to generate a monthly capacity of 100,000-150,000 units initially and it will grow gradually, the sources said.
Of course, it makes no sense to wait for Apple to launch these models separately. I also find it somewhat strange that recent rumors about MBPs did not specifically cite its 17-inch version.
