With partners Cisco, Aon and Allianz, a Apple today announced a new cyber risk management solution for companies.
The solution is a mix of forces, consisting of Aon's cyber resilience assessment services, secure technologies from Cisco and Apple, as well as options for Allianz cybersecurity insurance coverage. The new solution is designed to help a wide range of organizations better manage and protect themselves from cyber risk associated with ransomwares and other threats related to malware which are the most common faced by companies today.
According to the press release, cybersecurity risk is growing and losses from cyber threats are outpacing investment in IT security. This fact, combined with low adoption of cyber insurance, crackers always active, to a fragmented security technology market and lack of security competencies, results in the difficulty that many organizations have to understand and effectively manage risks.
Thus, with this new solution, the partners intend to cover the main dimensions of cyber protection for companies. The key elements of the offer include: cyber resilience assessment (Aon's cybersecurity professionals will assess the cybersecurity stance of interested customers and recommend ways to help improve their cybersecurity defenses), cyber insurance (provided they use Cisco solutions and Apple products and undergo an assessment to see if they meet the usage guidelines) and incident response services (organizations will have access to Cisco and Aon incident response teams in the event of a malware).
