The Zenfone 6 was one of the first smartphones from Asus to receive Android 10, having been awarded in November last year. Now, the Taiwanese manufacturer has started to release a new update to its top of the line with rotating cameras.
This update, which features the version "17.1810.2002.133" and weighs 74MB, delivers the February security patch, making the system more secure against attacks and invasions. Minor bugs have also been fixed to make the usage experience even better.
In addition, owners will now have access to a new feature that provides more privacy: we are talking about a MAC address generator. With this feature enabled, it will be possible to configure certain WiFi networks to use a random address to track activities. Thus, it will be more difficult for the device to be tracked by social networks such as Facebook.
At the moment, the update can be downloaded via OTA only in Italy, but if everything goes well with the distribution and no critical error is detected by Asus, other regions should receive the new patch and its improvements in the coming days or weeks.
Zenfone 6 specifications:
This device has a 6.4 "IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and HDR10. Inside, we have the Snapdragon 855 processor, combined with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage.
