For Emojipedia, the reasons that make up Christmas emojis may vary from person to person. So, the following list follows a trend of greater use in the period, indicating a correlation with the date for many people.
The Santa Claus emoji was created in 2010 and, despite having a different appearance in each system, follows the best known pattern in all of them, with red hat and white beard. But it was not always so.

In 2012, a bug was reported to Android claiming that Santa Claus had a sad expression, and that he should be happy, representing the joy of the holiday. The smile only reached the cone two years later, in the 2014 update. In that same year, the good old man hat was also changed, receiving the traditional red color until then, it was orange, because the red color was not allowed in the emojis of the Google.
At Apple, the skin tone of the cone stopped being white and became yellow by default in 2015, so that the user could choose the ethnicity that represented him. From then on, the character's beard also turned yellow. The following year, Santa Claus won a version rendered in 3D, when a complete review left all the system's emojis in high resolution.

Facebook has been perfecting its set of emojis and, in 2018, it also left the skin of the character yellow. The most recent version of Microsoft inserts a very thick outline at the edges of the emojis, leaving Santa Claus with a white and black beard.

Six years after the creation of the male version, the emoji of Mame Noel, called Mrs. Claus abroad, was launched. The icon maintains the same pattern in all systems, represented by a nice lady with white hair, eyeglasses and a red hat. According to Emojipedia, the female emoji is used less often than that of Santa Claus.

Also according to the company, the outline of the icon was developed in 2015, in an initial attempt to add pairs of genres to some emojis. Another justification, this time more logical, is that nobody wants to see Santa Claus lonely.
The Christmas tree emoji has existed since 2010 and is available on the main systems, with a very similar representation in all of them. The cone has a green tree, similar to a pine tree, decorated with lights, colored balls and bands. They all also have a gold star on the top.

For Emojipedia, it is difficult to find the difference between a reindeer and a deer and, in the case of emojis, that would not make that much of a difference. In this way, the deer (or deer) cone is widely used at Christmas representing the reindeer that pull Santa's sleigh. The cones are different, depending on the system, showing the animal in full body or just its horned head. Only the Google figure makes reference to the Christmas animal, showing a red nose traditionally related to reindeer.

The different Wrapped Gift Box emoji on each system. However, they follow the pattern: a square box wrapped in colored paper and decorated with a bow on the top. According to Emojipedia, only the LG emoji would represent a Christmas gift, as the only one decorated in green and red, commonly related to the date.

The snowman has two representations: with and without snow falling in the environment. The cone without snow has existed since 2009. However, before it there was a rustic version, with rudimentary features, that was part of Unicode cones since 1993, and only received emoji status in 2015, when snowflakes falling around it were inserted.

In recent years, the figures have been modernized and gained new additions, such as a top hat, adopted by most systems, and colored gloves. Apple went beyond the details and made the mouth drawing using black stones before that, there was only one cavity in the face representing the mouth. According to Emojipedia, snowmen are also known on the platform as Olaf, a reference to the character in Disney's movie "Frozen."
