Stunning Apple store in central Milan to open this week

Last May we commented on the amazing design of the new Apple store in Milo, Italy. With the opening of the store approaching this Thursday (7/26), Ma released new images beyond the exuberant of her new home in Piazza del Liberty (Praa da Liberdade).

The new Apple Store project includes, as previously announced, a large public square and an environment that mixes innovation and classic elements, ranging from the stone used to a large amphitheater. When faced with the store, visitors will see a ?dramatic? glass fountain (as described by Ma) that serves as an entrance to the store. Still at the top, a large backdrop serves as a canvas for the outdoor amphitheater.

The Apple Piazza Liberty covered by Beola Grigia, a stone in the uniform that has unique and unrepeatable natural characteristics, is widely used in Milo. In addition to the famous stone, the store is surrounded by 14 Gleditsia Sunburst trees, commonly used by Ma in other locations around the world.

According to the head of retail at Apple, Angela Ahrendts, a city as inspiring as Milo deserved a new store with a modern vision and that would connect people, so the choice to build it in the middle of the Piazza.

There is no better expression of our vision for Apple stores that serve as modern meeting places than Apple Piazza Liberty. In a city with such a rich history of art, entertainment and creativity, it is an honor to establish a space where anyone can be inspired to learn, create and connect with their neighbors.

As in several other Ma stores, Apple Piazza Liberty will host the program Today at Apple, in addition to offering free sessions on photography, film production, music creation, coding and design. Throughout the month of September, the store will also host a special edition of Milan Series, in which 21 local artists will share their views on the artistic future of the city.

According to the design director at Apple, Jony Ive, the company's proposal was to create a multisensory experience for the visitor.

We combine two fundamental elements of the Italian square, water and stone, adding a glass portal that creates a multisensory experience as visitors enter the store through a cascading fountain that seems to surround them.

Some 230 employees were hired for Apple Piazza Liberty, many of whom went to Milo from Apple stores worldwide. As mentioned above, the inauguration will take place this Thursday, 26, at 5 pm, and the registrations for the Today at Apple can be made on the Apple website.

This will be another Ma store that will operate 24 hours a day.
