Omdia, a company specializing in market analysis, published a new report on the best-selling smartphones of 2019. The biggest sales champion was the iPhone XR, Apple's most "affordable" device launched in 2018.
According to the report, the Cupertino giant sold 46.3 million units, more than the double recorded in 2018, which was 23.1 million. Second, we have the iPhone 11 which sold 37.3 million units, followed by the Galaxy A10, A50 and A20, which totaled 30.3, 24.2 and 19.2 million, respectively.
In the second half of the list, the report mentions the iPhone 11 Pro Max with 17.6 million, while the iPhone 8 came in seventh with 17.4 million. Interestingly, in eighth place we have the Redmi Note 7, which was able to register 16.3 million units sold worldwide. The last two positions were occupied by the iPhone 11 Pro and Galaxy J2 Core, which totaled 15.5 and 15.2 million, respectively.
We know that the iPhone 11 arrived as a successor to the iPhone XR, but the 2018 model is still a good option for those looking for a device with a lower price, competent hardware and a camera praised by the public.
