The machine to implement new features that the Instagram strikes again and offers another new feature for its users.
As posted on the company's blog, it is now possible share live streams with friends or groups at Direct. You can send either live you're doing, as well as one you're just watching.
When you?re live, just touch the Direct at the bottom of the screen and send your live video to friends. You will also have this option when you are in a live with a friend. Once sent, the recipient will see your live video in the inbox. Friends can only see your video if you are live at that time. If your live video ends, your friend will see a message saying that the video is over.
As is normally the case with other options, it is also possible to disable the functionality in your story settings and, if your account is set to private, only your followers will be able to see your broadcast.
The novelty is part of version 26 (or higher) of Instagram, which is already available on the App Store and Google Play.
