THE Ford it's the Waze came together to advertise on Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018 that the famous traffic app will soon be available for cars equipped with the media center SYNC 3 (version 3.0 or higher).
According to the press release, Waze will also be available for smartphones with Apple's iOS system, thanks to its integration with the Ford SYNC AppLink, allowing access to all the app's features (operation via voice commands or directly on the touch screen) , also using the vehicle's own sound system). To do this, simply connect the smartphone to the car's USB port, project Waze on the screen and use its great features.
Since the announcement of the partnership between Waze and Ford at Mobile World Congress 2017, we have worked hard to optimize and evolve the experience for the driver community. We are happy to show our partnership with Ford through the AppLink SDL on iOS, an in-car navigation experience that connects Waze navigation to your car console. With SDL, Waze guidance is displayed on the driver's car screen and new features are made available as soon as they are launched. With SDL, drivers get the most up-to-date version of Waze with all the new features and design launches, as if they were driving with Waze on their phone.

The launch should happen in the coming weeks, contemplating (as we said above) vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 version 3.0 or higher in Brazil, only the cars Ecosport, Fiesta, Focus and Fusion (all 2018). For cars equipped with older versions of SYNC 3, Ford has promised to make an update available to enable this feature in the future (no specific date).
