The Redmi Note 8 has seen considerable success around the world. Here in Brazil, for example, it was the most popular smartphone in January. So, due to this success, rumors point out that Xiaomi is developing the successor, presumably called the Redmi Note 9.
To corroborate this information, renderings of this device that showed its design were leaked, being very similar to the Huawei Mate 20. Looking at the back of the Redmi Note 9, we see a camera module practically the same as the smartphone of the Chinese giant, as well as curved side edges.

However, unlike Mate 20, we now have four sensors, with double LED flash below. According to leaks, they add up to 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP in the standard version, while in the Pro model it is expected 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP, being the main Sony IMX686. Unfortunately, there are still no details about the front camera.
Other leaker also published the possible Redmi Note 9 specifications. Allegedly, Redmi's next intermediary will have variants with 3GB, 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of storage.
Add more: – 3/4 / 6GB RAM, 32/64 / 128GB storage- Snapdragon 720G- 5000mAh battery- Full HD + display
Also Redmi Note 9 Pro would use MTK Dimensity 800, 5000mAh batt too

The processor chosen was the Snapdragon 720G, and to keep the device connected, we have a very large battery of 5,000 mAh. The size of the display is still unknown, but it should deliver Full HD + resolution.
As with the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the manufacturer must bet on a MediaTek processor on the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which is the Dimensity 800. The same battery found in the standard model must be maintained. So far, there is no information about the release date of this smartphone, something that may change soon.
