Brightness adjustment on the iPod touch (5th generation) on the left and on the iPhone 4S on the right.
Kevin C. Tofel went from one indoor environment to another, outside (more lit) and thought that his new iPod touch was broken or with the automatic adjustment feature turned off, after all, the brightness remained the same. It turns out that iPod touch 5th generation * no * have the ambient light sensor, making this automatic adjustment impossible. In my view, this is the second Apple blunder in the product the first was the lack of controls and microphone in the EarPods headphones that come with the new iPods. (GigaOM)
