For three months Microsoft was preparing a surprise for users of its services. It is a new Microsoft Office app, tested during the mentioned period, that combines all programs in just one application. The novelty is only available for Android smartphone users, but it will probably still be released for tablets and iOS.
The new Office application for Android brings together the entire software package created for corporate offices. Now I no longer need to download the apps separately. That is, Word, PowerPoint and Excel are present in a single application.
Like the new Microsoft Office for Android
The new app created by Microsoft, has approximately 90MB with the prerequisite of 400MB for installation. In the unified Office application we will have Word, Excel PowerPoint, together with Office Lens. In this way, it will be possible to scan documents and integrate with OneNote to create notes.
Currently and for a long time too, Microsoft offers the best free office software package on Android. the most complete, having several functions. You can create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, notes, scan documents, sign a PDF or even convert an image or document to PDF. All of this is still integrated with OneDrive or SharePoing to perform a backup in the cloud.
The prerequisite for installing the new Microsoft Office app is to have the Android 6.0 or higher operating system on the smartphone, at least 1GB of RAM and 400MB of free space for installation. If we add all the apps present in the package, we will see that it will occupy much less space compared to the individual installation of each one. To download the app, go here.
