LG announced this Tuesday its list of smartphones from the 2020 K series: K61, K51S and K41S. The models will be available in the American market as of the second quarter, following the main selected markets in Europe and Asia. Despite speaking of an "overall optimized performance", in relation to the previous models in the range, the brand guarantees that the price increase is not very high, but does not specify specific values.
According to LG, the models were designed to "offer a premium user experience", with updated cameras and multimedia features, in addition to "optimized overall performance". To this end, they inherited features from the brand's premium smartphones, introduced for the first time in the segment.
Each model integrates a set of four rear cameras, consisting of a high resolution main lens, a wide angle, a depth sensor and a macro, the first in the K series. The K61's 48 MP main lens is the highest resolution camera always on an LG smartphone, while the K51S '32 MP camera also surpasses the pixel count of any previous brand phone, LG says.
Check the specifications of the three models, which may vary depending on the market.
In a statement, Chang Ma, senior vice president of the product strategy group at LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, believes that this series has "the most competitive smartphones in its class".
Soon it should be presenting its new flagship smartphone, the LG V60 ThinQ, which should have been presented in this year's edition of the Mobile World Congress. However, the event was eventually canceled by the organization due to the possible risks of the Coronavirus.
