Google's communication services
The company always works on new ways to connect people in a more efficient and practical way. Hangouts, for example, was launched on May 15, 2013 to replace three existing products: Google Talk, Google+ Messenger and Hangouts.
J o Duo was launched in 2016 and is an application for mobile devices made for video calls. In 2019, it received support for the web version, making it possible to make calls to contacts through the browser.
Gmail, launched in 2004, revolutionized the webmail system by providing, at the beginning, 1GB of storage space. For comparison, platforms at the time like Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail offered 6MB and 2MB, respectively. In the following year, they created the program ?Infinito +?, increasing the storage space, where it increased about 4 bytes per second.
There is also the Groups, which as the name suggests, connects people who have a common interest in a single place and the Google Voice, which is a telecommunications service that uses the prepaid billing system.
However, not all of the company's applications have been successful. In 2016 the company announced the Google Allo, which aimed to compete with messaging apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, but was discontinued in 2019 for failing to ?score?.
There was also the Inbox By Gmail focused on improving the productivity and organization of e-mails, such as grouping similar e-mails, receiving Google Now cards, snoozing messages etc. However, this was discontinued in 2019 and its functions were incorporated into Gmail.
