Apple may not be on its best days in terms of creativity or innovation, but at least in one metrics the company continues to do very well, thanks no, I'm not talking about money, but consumer satisfaction.
O American Costumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) yesterday released the results of its 2018 surveys in a series of categories of home electronics and equipment and, in the computers and tablets (the only one in which Apple appears in the survey), Apple remained in the leadership it had already achieved in previous years. The difference for competitors is narrowing, however.
The Cupertino giant had a satisfaction index of 83 out of 100 possible, the same achieved in the previous survey. THE Samsung, in turn, remains in the vice-leadership with a very close score (82), but this time divides the position with the Amazon, which grew three points to match South Korea. Still above the general average of the segment (which is 76), we have ASUS, HP and Lenovo, respectively; Acer, Dell and Toshiba appear below.
According to the institute, Macs and iPads received maximum marks from their owners in almost all categories, which include design, functionality and applications, among other things even more noteworthy considering that a good part of Ma's computers and tablets are in need of updates, which ( with any luck) will arrive sometime in the coming months.
It is also interesting to note the degree of consumer satisfaction by subdivision within the segment: both desktops and tablets rose compared to last year, and are now with scores of 83 and 80, respectively. Laptops have already dropped and now have the lowest satisfaction rate in this universe 75.
