Lightning 30-pin dock connector adapterThe market for accessories for Apple devices is very competitive and several large companies are constantly launching interesting products. Trying to ride the wave, many Chinese manufacturers are also trying to sell their alternative products. However, they are not always content to just produce something of low quality, as some even use the logo and imitate the design of Apple products.

In Alaska (United States), the Customs and Border Protection seized several fake Lightning cables and adapters that featured the logos of the Cupertino giant and also of Underwriters Laboratories, a body that assesses the safety of various types of products. According to CBP, they are valued at more than $ 635,000.

The products were discovered during a routine inspection on a Chinese plane that was in the city of Anchorage. Packed in cardboard boxes, as described in Alaska Dispach, Chinese products had much lower quality than Apple's accessories. All seized cables / adapters will be destroyed.
