In response to the rumors that are rolling around, a spokesman for Samsung said on Monday that the South Korean manufacturer will soon make an official statement of which models will be eligible to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
For now, only the Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S are guaranteed to receive the new generation of Google's mobile platform.

Samsung will soon announce the additional devices that are eligible for the Jelly Bean update. As the world's largest smartphone maker, Samsung takes the community of Android devices like the Galaxy S III, and is creating categories of new devices like the Galaxy Note. Samsung produced the Nexus line devices and we are excited that Google will bring consumers of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S the first experiences of Jelly Bean on a portable device.
