The update includes changes to the Java security level configuration pattern, changing it from medium to high. With the new definition, the user is always requested before any applet or Java application to run. It is worth noting that the loopholes themselves were not covered by the company, it just increased the level of security, requiring interaction, user approval whenever Java is requested.

The company also recalled that ?only? the Java plugin for browsers affected by the vulnerability, that is, servers, Java desktop applications and embed (embedded) are free from threats. Update 11 is available through the built-in update system or through Oracle's own website.
