A California jury in the United States ruled on Wednesday that Google did not infringe on any Oracle patent by developing its mobile platform, Android.
In the District Court decision, the jury contested Oracle's six claims alleging an alleged breach of Java patents by Google.
The verdict is a victory for the seeker and marks the end of the second phase of the trial. After the decision, a third phase – focused on damage – was canceled.
"The jury's verdict that Android does not infringe Oracle's patents was a victory not only for Google but for the entire Android ecosystem," Google said in a statement.
