Ma opened the doors of its newest radio station stadium Beats 1, which is part of Apple Music. Located at Union Square, in New York, the new facility "connects" to the other two radio stadiums, one in Los Angeles (California) and the other in London (England).
To celebrate the inauguration, the company hosted a party that brought together Beats 1 veterans (like the anchor Zane Lowe) and artists from around the world (such as Swizz Beatz, Busta Rhymes, French Montana, Joyner Lucas, Diana Gordon, Abir, Teyana Taylor and Nina Sky).
Although the official stadium has only just opened, some Beats 1 programs were already broadcasting from New York, such as "Ebro in the Morning", presented by Ebro Darden. The presenter told the Fast Company who wants the new stadium to represent the ?sound and energy? of the city.
I want this space to represent the sound and energy of New York and be like this multicultural city.
Some rumors have suggested that Ma could build a Beats 1 stadium on Apple's Fifth Avenue, which has been undergoing renovations since January last year and should be reopened later this year. While this is still possible, we know that now the main radio stadium in NYC already has its own address.
With the opening, Beats 1 presenters and artists visiting or participating in a program will have yet another meeting point between artists who have already gone through Apple Music radio are Nicki Minaj, Elton John, Mike D and The Weeknd. Who knows, maybe we will see even more programs painting around there?
