The new shipping model announced by Xiaomi serves consumers who still need the company's services, but are concerned about the spread of the infection. Interested in contracting contactless delivery should pay 99 yuan (about R $ 61, in direct conversion). Freight is available every day of the week, for 12 hours, and may be offered free of charge in some cases.

This is not the first time that Xiaomi has taken measures due to the coronavirus outbreak. To avoid contamination of employees and customers, the company has closed all of its physical stores in China and plans to cancel the Mi 10 mobile launch event, scheduled for February 11.

In addition, the Asian giant donated 300,000 yuan (about R $ 182,000 in direct conversion) in lots with N95 masks, medical masks and thermometers for the quarantined region. Xiaomi also made a promotion of surgical masks on its online store Youpin, but the demand was so great that the site went down.
