Google Slides: how to put music in a slide show | Productivity

Google Slides allows you to add music to presentations created on the platform. Originally, the system only releases the use of audio files stored in Google Drive, but it is possible to resort to some tricks to insert other soundtracks to the pages of the document, using YouTube videos and even streaming services, such as Spotify. Inserting a Google Drive audio

Step 1. Click Insert and watch the audio;

Step 2. Choose the desired audio in the Google Drive files and click Select;

Step 3. A small button that will serve as a player will be added to the slide and you will be able to move it as you like on the page;

Step 4. During the presentation, just play to start the song and it will be played immediately, without interrupting the presentation.

How to insert audio from a YouTube video

Step 1. Click on Insert and see Video;

Step 2. Paste the URL of a YouTube music clip in the search field and click on the magnifying glass;

Step 3. Mark the video and click Select;

Using audio from a video saved to Google Drive

Step 1. Click on Insert and see Video;

Step 2. Access the Google Drive tab and view your videos stored in the cloud. Mark an item and click Select;

How to use media from a streaming service

Google Slides does not allow you to play music from streaming services directly in the presentation, but it is possible to create a link to start playing the song more quickly. Unlike the other options, this alternative opens a new tab in the browser to play the track.

Step 1. Click Insert and v Shape. Then, choose a graphic form that will serve as a button to access the link;

Step 3. Right-click on the cone and choose the option Link;

Step 4. Paste the music link for a streaming service in the indicated field and click Apply;

Step 5. During the presentation, click on the button you just created to open a new tab that will take you directly to the chosen music;
