The Mi A2, Xiaomi's smartphone that is part of the Android One program, has already been upgraded to Android 10. So, it was expected that Google's new mobile OS would also "land" on the Mi A2 Lite, but the Chinese manufacturer said that it wouldn't happen.
This statement generated a certain amount of revolt among users, who created an online petition asking for the release of Android 10. Shortly thereafter, Xiaomi backtracked on its decision, stating that it was working on the development of the system.
Now, information points out that the Mi A2 Lite may be updated soon. Several units of this device were found in Geekbench running the new Android 10, including models with 3GB and 4GB of RAM. The card listed me as "MSM8953", the same present in the Snapdragon 625 processor that comes embedded in the smartphone.
Therefore, if we consider the appearance on the Geekbench, there is a possibility that Xiaomi will start distributing the update in the coming weeks. Anyway, we will have to wait for a statement from the company that reveals the official date.
