How to listen to music on Spotify with maximum quality | Audio and Video

Spotify has "hidden" settings capable of improving the experience with music on Android and iPhone (iOS) phones. The functions allow you to choose the type of transition of the soundtracks, increase the sound quality and even level the volume. In addition, the user can access an audio equalizer, adjusting the patterns according to each musical style.

The tools are useful for the most demanding users, as they are able to define specific adjustments for each moment. All of this can be found in the app menu, without having to download anything extra on the smartphone. To make the music experience complete on Spotify, check out the tips.

1. Make the music in top quality

Some users do not know that it is possible to make music with more quality in the cell phone, from a simple adjustment. Spotify usually sets the streaming quality as "Automatic", to modulate according to the type of Internet connection, for example. But just go to the "Music quality" option in the settings and select "High" (160 kbit / s) or "High" (maximum 320 kbit / s) to enhance your music experience. It is worth paying attention because this option requires greater data transfer, that is, it can consume more mobile Internet.

2. Turn off data saving

The mobile data economy is efficient for those who do not want to spend much of the data package with Spotify. But, if your preference for quality, it is ideal to turn off this function. To do this, just open the "Data Economy" and keep the key as "Off". That way, the app will not automatically set the stream to low quality when listening to your favorite playlists. The user can enable or disable this function at will.

3. Level the music volume and transition

Two important points to make the experience more fluid, when listening to your music, adjust the volume level and apply a type of transition to the music. Both settings are in the "Reproduction" topic. Spotify offers a "gradual transition" customization from 0s (off) to 12s, to move from one track to another very smoothly. The ideal is a middle ground, about 3 or 4 seconds. It is also possible to choose to play without pauses.

In the case of the volume level, the user needs to turn on the item "Enable audio normalization" to access the leveling options. Normally, Spotify leaves the volume marked "Normal", but for those who prefer the maximum volume, there is the option of "Alto" (it is necessary to pay attention to damage your audio, as the sound will have a considerable gain). Otherwise, there is also the option of "Bass" for those interested in a softer volume on a daily basis, and who want to maintain greater control so as not to listen to music too loudly without realizing it.

4. Download music in high quality

With the popular streaming platform, tracks can be saved to your phone in maximum quality for listening when offline. By default, Spotify keeps it as "Normal", so it doesn't take up much storage space or spend so much Internet. However, changing this is simple: go to "Music quality" in the "Download" item, select "High" (160 kbit / s) or "Altssima" (320 kbit / s). If you want to preserve 3G or 4G, it is worth turning off the key in "Download over the cellular network". Thus, the app will only download soundtracks over the Wi-Fi network.

5Accessing the sound equalizer

The equalizer is the most advanced option to customize the sound experience for different musical styles on Spotify. In "Playback" there is an "Equalizer" button to remove the automatic mode from the app, just activate the key. There are the most diverse types such as "Acoustic", "Attenuated Basses", "Classic", "Dance", among others. Note that when selecting one of them, the graph changes its position. The user can still touch the dots at each "Hz" to level his way. This function requires greater technical knowledge about sound. If you prefer to return to the standard, just turn off the key.
