Samsung announced that the newly released Galaxy S II smartphone has already passed the 3 million unit mark sold worldwide in just 55 days. According to the manufacturer, the number represents a smartphone sold every 1.5 seconds.
Equipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the latest version of Google's mobile platform for mobile devices, the Galaxy S II is the successor to the popular Galaxy S and was announced with the prominence of being ?the thinnest smartphone in the world?.
