Every Thursday Apple chooses a Movie of the week at the iTunes Store, whose purchase (even in 4K / HDR, depending on the production) R $ 9.90. The title selected this time was ?12 Hours to Survive: The Year of Election?, by James DeMonaco.
Check out his trailer:
Here's what Apple says about the movie:
The last film in the violent trilogy of director and screenwriter James DeMonaco, happens on the eve of the elections. Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) is the head of security for Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), a presidential candidate, who has become the target of criminals by promising to end the night of crime if elected.
As usual, our reader Renato Alan Promenzio (@tripalavra), who is a cardholder, also sent us a personalized comment about the film:
Despite the strange name of the Movie of the week, he is part of a quadrilogy with the third partly ending the plot (the fourth film is a pre-sequence). So, my first recommendation is to watch the first two films ?A Night of Crime? and ?A Night of Crime: Anarchy?. I liked Frank Grillo's insertion in the franchise, taking the place as protagonist and parading his tactical style with weapons and in his fights. The coolest thing to talk about is because he is an expert and recently launched a series in which he travels the world learning about the most diverse fighting styles. Now, going back to the film, I consider it the weakest among its predecessors but by no means the least interesting. It is not a huge film, but a diverse one that makes us question what it would be like if it were here, or how much possibility of countries on the edge of chaos. Anyway, watch and draw your conclusions. I also indicate two other films, one by Frank Grillo, ?Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier?, and the other by director James DeMonaco, ?Assault 13 DP?.
