Chinese website Yesky, brought the information, supposedly Huawei to launch another foldable, the Huawei Mate XS. According to sources indicated by Yesky, the next foldable smartphone will be a version of the Mate X with reduced dimensions and will also have its value reduced.
The claim of lower prices was directly related to folding screens, which can now be manufactured more simply. And its reduced size would bring more robustness to the whole set making the Mate XS more resistant.
Although it was said that the smartphone is smaller, the Huawei Mate XS screen may still be the same 8-inch size that the current folding device has when opened.
Unfortunately Huawei did not comment on it. Usually when this happens because the company was not very happy with the leak. Mate X 5G was launched in October in China. The company can announce its successor during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 in Barcelona.
Huawei sold almost 7 million smartphones with 5G connectivity in 2019, amazingly, even with the embargo the numbers were these. Imagine then without the trade embargo imposed by the USA.
I am particularly looking forward to seeing how 2020 will be for Huawei, after all it is less than 15 days since U.S. President Donald Trump signed the first phase of a new trade agreement with China.
This is after two years of tension between the two superpowers that have disrupted economies around the world, it remains to be seen whether Huawei will get off the Trump blacklist.
