How to create an email group in Outlook | Productivity

Creating an email group in Outlook can make it easier to send messages to multiple people at the same time. The feature, which was previously called "distribution list", is ideal for facilitating communication in project teams, committees or a group of friends. This way, when sending an email to the group, all the people who are part will receive the message without the user having to add each contact in the "To", "Cc" or "Bcc" fields individually.

Step 1. Open Outlook and access the people tab, in the lower left corner of the window. Then click on "New Contact Group";

Step 2. Enter the name of the group. Once this is done, click on "Add Members" and choose whether to import from Outlook contacts, address book or insert an individual email;

Step 3. Select the desired contacts and click on "Participants" to add them to the group. Then press "OK" to save;

Step 4. Finally, click on "Save and Close" in the upper left corner of the window to create the new contact group.

How to send email to a group in Outlook

Step 1. In the new e-mail compose window, click "To …";

Step 2. Now, select the name of your group and click on the field in which you want to insert it (To, CC or CCO). Finally, press "OK" all people in the group in the email.
