THE FileMaker, a subsidiary of Apple, yesterday launched the newest version of its unified platform for creating personalized apps for businesses and users. O FileMaker 17 focuses on simplifying the learning curve for using the software, in addition to bringing a number of new features to a simple and intuitive process in creating software and apps the way you need them.
The novelties of the seventh edition of the software are divided into three main categories:
- Development: it is possible to select one of the six new initial apps to start your project more quickly, as well as connect additional tables to them to implement features quickly; layout mode has been redesigned with more accessible tools and support for master-detail layouts;
- Mobility: new calculation function can capture information from sensors of iPhones or iPads, such as the gyroscope; It is possible to configure a local notification to be displayed on the mobile device when FileMaker Go is closed or running in the background; in addition, support was added when dragging / dropping iPads running iOS 11 or higher;
- Administration and integration: brings a Server Admin Console redesigned, lighter and with simplified interface, as well as a trial period of the REST API to access FileMaker Server until September 27, 2019; the API itself has been improved with support for scripts FileMaker Server and other new features.
