Gmail's dark mode reached the email app at the launch of Android 10, but some users recently noticed that their inboxes are reverting to the old design, with a white background, without them making any manual changes.
According to the 9to5Google website, users also reported that the option to go back to dark mode has disappeared from the app's settings. Before, it was possible to choose between standard color schemes, light or dark, but options are not available for those affected.
If the problem also happened to you, here's a trick to reactivate the dark mode in your Gmail: press and hold the Gmail app icon on your phone screen until the Forc shutdown option appears. Select the option and then restart the app to restore dark mode.
It is worth noting, this does not always work and the ideal is to wait for the problem to be fixed by Google.
