Android developers this week announced a new big brand: 100,000 apps on the Android Market.
The news comes just three months after the online app store topped 70,000 apps in mid-July and an even more dramatic increase when compared to the 30,000 apps registered in March this year.
In early October, Google confirmed the expansion of the Android Market to Brazilian users, enabling the opportunity to buy and sell applications directly from the Android Market.
The new numbers are of great importance to the market as they demonstrate the growing interest of the developer community on the platform.
Just as a comparison, Apple's App Store currently has 300,000 apps. A year ago there were 100 thousand.
