Galaxy Book 2 promises to stay awake for days
No, the Snapdragon 850 not a chipset aimed at high-end smartphones. Present in the new Galaxy Book 2, that Samsung's bet to go head-to-head with the Surface Pro, the processor will allow the PC to be as fast and economical as a smartphone.
According to the manufacturer, the portable tablet was designed to have battery life capable of withstanding 20 hours of use. Although this seems like an absurd number, it is perfectly possible to achieve it using an efficient processor and very different from what we are used to seeing in notebooks and computers.
And the benefits brought by the adoption of Snapdragon 850 do not stop there, since the chipset ships with the modem Snapdragon X20 LTE, from Qualcomm. This, in turn, is responsible for a more stable mobile connectivity and able to withstand at 1.2 gigabits download speed – number 20% higher than that found in the last generation of the modem.
Another positive point is the presence of AI Engine Qualcomm, artificial intelligence engine that will allow a better battery control and, mainly, improved voice and camera features.
Convertible tablet will have 12 inch screen
Samsung does not seem to have saved on the screen choice for the Galaxy Book 2, since here we have an OLED display of 12 inches with native resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels. Translating for everyday use, this is undoubtedly a canvas full of life and with deep black tones.
Regarding audio, the convertible tablet its main highlight is the presence of AKG headphones included in the box. In addition, the Galaxy Book 2 also has the sound system Dolby Atmos that attempts to generate greater immersion by projecting sound waves more efficiently.
And yes, the Galaxy Book 2 has a headphone jack
As usual, the device also has two cameras: a 5 MP front and an 8 MP rear. On the left side, you can find two USB-C ports and a microSD card slot. And yes, the Galaxy Book 2 has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
To accompany the processor of the Qualcomm, the manufacturer puts 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage in the machine. Such numbers should be sufficient to rotate the Windows 10 S, that a simplified version of Windows 10. Available in the US on November 2, the Galaxy Book 2 – which weighs only 800 grams – has an initial value of $ 1,000 (approximately R $ 3,700, excluding taxes). Despite the salty price, it is important to mention that all versions of the tablet will come with: S Pen, detachable keyboard and support for mobile networks.
